Synergy and Interfaces
Our flexible system architecture and expertise in the Insurance and Reinsurance markets means that Eurobase is able to fully integrate with other software systems, such as SharePoint, providing you with the business control you need to succeed across all your business operations.
Eurobase provides standard interfaces to a number of general ledger systems including Sun Accounts, PeopleSoft, Oracle Financials, Dynamics NAV and SAP. Besides the standard integration at the data level, Synergy can be invoked from other business applications using web services, delivering seamless integration and enhanced user experience throughout the entire business process lifecycle.
Synergy’s open architecture and well documented interfaces allow rapid integration with the existing software solutions. A range of technologies is available, including WCF Web Services that have become the preferred method of interfacing systems with Synergy due to its security, flexibility, ease of use and portability across different platforms. To support integration at any level Synergy provides full coverage of all the available business functions via WCF web services. Additional web services can be added if needed, for example to cover a bespoke interface.

Synergy and Workflows
Workflows help organisations to adhere to consistent business processes, and they also improve organizational efficiency and productivity by managing the tasks and steps involved in business processes. This enables the people who perform these tasks to concentrate on performing the work rather than managing the workflow.
Synergy is fully integrated with Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and leverages its capabilities in providing a highly scalable, robust and easily configurable workflow management platform. Our standard repository includes workflow templates for Policy and Claim approval, Submission, Quote, Business Partner, Broker and many other business processes. Whilst covering the most common scenarios out-of-the-box the workflow templates can be easily customised and extended to suit specific business processes within insurance organisations.

Synergy and Authorisation
The primary purpose of the authorisation module in Synergy is to prevent accidental or fraudulent entry of policy, claims and accounting data which could overexpose, defraud, or otherwise compromise the business (i.e. ensuring that internal governance procedures over the entry of data into the key business systems are met).
There are four business areas of concern, each with slightly differing requirements:

Field-level change authorisation (“four eyes anywhere”)
Underwriting – prevention of overexposure of the business in terms of the sums insured or limits of exposure; caution against writing business with excessive premiums; prevention of writing business with excessive commission/brokerage rates
Claims – prevention of payments that could be mistakes or fraud, including the setting up of high reserves and refunds
Accounting – prevention of excessive write-offs and prevention of payments not authorised elsewhere

Synergy… for CRM
At the heart of Synergy is the business partner register that allows details of clients/accounts (insurers and cedants) to be recorded once only and then linked to any policy, claim, transaction or ledger entry. It allows full details of clients to be recorded and eliminates the likelihood that any client will be duplicated in the system.
The system provides a client-centric view of information at all times, including policies, claims and accounts. This promotes high standards of customer service, as the complete business relationship can be displayed instantly and any queries can immediately be highlighted for resolution.
Synergy’s sophisticated diary and notes facilities allow you to track interaction with your clients and will automatically remind you of any important forthcoming dates in your client’s diary allowing you to proactively manage the client relationship.
Our expertise means that Eurobase is able to fully integrate with other software systems such as Microsoft Dynamics and SharePoint, which can deliver an even more sophisticated approach to CRM and provide you with the business control you need to succeed across all your business operations.
